Coronaviruse Disease (COVID-19)

Coronavirus (COVID-19)

The coronavirus has spread to many parts of the world and has claimed many lives. The Secretary-General of the World Health Organization (WHO) has announced that "Covid 19" (a disease caused by the coronavirus) has reached the global epidemic stage. More than 100,000 people have been infected with the virus so far, and thousands more have died from the disease. The coronavirus has spread from China and is the center of the disease (Wuhan city) with a population of about 9 million. The disease has now spread to more than 110 countries.

- Signs of coronavirus

In the simplest case, the virus causes a cold, but in some cases it can cause acute respiratory syndrome, or SARS. Symptoms of the virus in humans include fever, cough, and shortness of breath.

- How is coronavirus transmitted?

The disease, like the common cold and the flu, is transmitted through the patient's respiratory secretions when he or she coughs or sneezes. The scattered droplets sit on the surfaces and the virus is transmitted to them through the hands of others. People get the disease when they touch their mouth, nose and eyes. The new virus infects the lungs and is accompanied by coughing and sneezing.
